How to Calculate Your BMI

The standard formula for calculating BMI is:

Weight in pounds x 703/ [Height in inches x Height in inches]

To calculate your BMI (you will need a calculator for this)

1. Write down your weight (in pounds)
2. Multiply it by 703
3. Then divide the result by your height (in inches)
4. Again divide the result by your height (in inches)

BMI is one of the many ways of assessing your weight. If you have any issues or concerns about your weight, please discuss them with us or your physician.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight.
